CISE completes rebrand to TISE | TISE

The Channel Islands Securities Exchange (CISE) has today completed its rebrand to The International Stock Exchange (TISE).

In addition, ahead of launching its presence in the Isle of Man later this week, TISE has announced that Carolyn Gelling (pictured) will lead its presence on the ground in the island.

Fiona Le Poidevin, CEO of The International Stock Exchange Group (TISEG), said: “We have had strong support from our stakeholders since we announced plans to rebrand and it is very pleasing to be able to put that into action in such a short period of time and ahead of launching our presence in the Isle of Man. We have a very successful brand and our key attributes of being responsive and innovative remain unchanged so we have been careful to retain some continuity despite the change of name. However, it is also important to reflect the internationalisation of the business and especially our plans for the future. This is a very exciting time for the Exchange.”

TISE is launching its presence in the Isle of Man on Thursday 9 March. Mrs Gelling’s appointment as Head of Isle of Man Office is effective from the start of May.

Mrs Le Poidevin added: “I’m very pleased to announce Carolyn as our Head of Isle of Man Office. She brings with her significant experience and joins us from a senior role in the Isle of Man where I know she has an extensive network of contacts. I’m really looking forward to working with her in showcasing the opportunities that TISE offers to businesses in the Isle of Man and the UK.

“I’m already aware that there is significant interest in the island in being able to have straightforward and cost-effective access to an international exchange. In particular, there are Isle of Man businesses across a diverse range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, gaming, and technology in various guises, who may need to access capital to support their growth plans while there are also a number of local service providers who will be required to support this activity through the provision of listing sponsor or accountancy, legal and administration services. Carolyn will be highly visible but I would also encourage anyone who has an interest in finding out more to contact either Carolyn, myself or another member of the team.”

Mrs Gelling’s appointment as Head of Isle of Man Office is effective from the start of May.

Mrs Gelling will join TISE from Thomas Miller Investment where she was a Director, as well as holding responsibility for the management and development of the group’s collective investment funds business in the Isle of Man and UK.

She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and a Chartered Wealth Manager, with 20 years of industry experience. A technical investment manager by training, more latterly her focus has been on corporate governance, and business and strategic development for investment businesses and funds, spanning the spectrum of private client and structures, institutional clients and funds, in both the UK and international business jurisdictions.

Mrs Gelling has also completed the Institute of Directors Diploma in Company Direction. She is a past Chairman of the Isle of Man Wealth & Fund Services Association, and now continues as a Committee Member and Life Member, and has also served as a Committee Member of the Isle of Man Branch of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
